Well we didn’t make Lakie’s appointment today because we were in a car accident. Some lady rear-ended us while we were stopped to make a left turn onto our street. She said she was looking at the radio rather than the road. No one was hurt, Lakie hardly even woke up…. and it’s a damn good thing because I probably would have killed this lady if anything had happened to Lakie. I mean, even just a scratch! The car was totaled… we are in a rental car now and are not sure where we’re gonna get the money for a new car. Our car was only worth about $2000 and that won’t buy anything!
Also our AC broke down and no one can fix it for at least a couple of days because the entire unit has to be replaced. It’s hot as Hades in this house and we’re probably going to go to my mother’s to spend the night. I worry about Lakie being in this heat: I don’t want her to get dehydrated.
