The Goblet of Fire!

We saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire today! My dad gave us gift certificates to the movie theater for Christmas so we decided we’d try taking the kids. We had to wait in a long line and as a result, had to sit down in front — but the girls behaved so well and they really loved the movie. The dragon was a little scary for Lakin, and Addah was not fond of the merfolk, but other than those two spots, they were captivated (as was I). What an excellent movie, well worth the wait! Now I need to re-read…

Lakin and I worked on her sewing kit today. She picked it up so fast, I was impressed! She hand-stitched two little sea critters all by herself — I told her how and kept reminding her of the steps, but she did every last stitch all by herself. She was excited to decorate them and take pictures to put “on the puter” so without further ado…

Lakin’s first sew and show

And in a bit of knitting news, I am almost finished with the front of Lakin’s Weasley sweater!! I finished the “L” and am working on the neck shaping now. Pictures to come soon!
