I’m halfway through Daffodil (merino Sock Garden wool from KnitPicks) socks for my lovely friend Tonya. These are my first pair of toe-up socks — I’ve tried the technique before but it never clicked so I abandoned it. I tried this time, using Wendy’s tutorial and it suddenly became clear. This is also my first short row heel (I never even tried this before, call it short row hatred). This too just seemed to make sense once it was on my needles and I love it! I double wrapped on the second half of the heel and there are no holes… lovely!
I finished these last week — 18-24 months Flower Power instock socks for the store (whenever I find time to get them listed).
For my friend Lisa’s pretty little girl, a Pink Satin soaker (and Rosewood shorts but I can’t seem to find my pic of those, will look for it later).
Gnomies! These are for sale (again, whenever I get them on my site). Want one? 🙂 Wouldn’t they be sweet peeking out of an Easter basket?
The first one is Kool-Aid dyed merino wool, the middle one is Easter Eggs merino wool sock yarn and the last one is Manos kettle dyed (gorgeous!).
