Tentatively maybe

I had a date with a man on Nov. 30 and I really liked him. We had another date on the following Tuesday and since then we’ve seen each other every other day, for hours and hours at a time… I really like him. His name is Wayne.

We’re different. He’s a liberal-leaning Republican… I suspect more Liberatarian than anything, honestly. He’s a non-practicing Christian. Me… dating a Republican Christian… who would have ever thought? We do have great conversations.

I dunno. I’m nervous to put a label on it, but he did ask me (teasingly) if we’re gonna be boyfriend/girlfriend now. His birthday was Wednesday. I bought him a cake and took him out to dinner. It was really really nice.
Also, I’ve been pretty honest with him about my crazy. He hasn’t run away, but asks questions and shares his personal experiences with some crazy too. He’s met my mom, my stepdad, Zeb and my stepbrother. He hung out with me and Lakin and Addah for hours and hours yesterday — helped Lakin with her homework and sang and played guitar to a made-up song about chickens that made them laugh their heads off.

I’m tentatively hopeful.
