I developed a nasty case of bronchitis late last week and ended up spending 4 long hours in the hospital emergency room after breathing became difficult. I asked for a serum pregnancy blood test, and the results came back negative. The doctor had no answers as to why my period is 73 days absent, only “talk to your gynecologist”. I am utterly disappointed, as is David. I don’t think we’re going to be ready to even attempt pregnancy again for some time, if at all. It’s just too heartbreaking to continue going through it.

I’m on antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection, and on cough syrup with codeine for this horrible rib cracking cough that will not go away. I’ve been in bed for 72 hours, with the exception of a short trip out to see Lakin sing in her Winter Concert. She did beautifully and it made me feel so very proud to watch my girl up there on the stage.
