Early Morning Belly Laughs

Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, only WITH words. It’s for those of us that can’t contain the chatter, but in a good way. You can find out more about participating in Wordful Wednesday by visiting Seven Clown Circus.

Our silly girls put on an impromptu concert this morning. They came rushing in as soon as they heard our alarm clock beep, falling immediately into their own version of Bruno Mars‘ “The Lazy Song”.

They happened to see the video one early morning while David and I were listening to VH1’s “Jumpstart” and getting breakfast ready. They giggled at the monkey masks and catchy beat, and they ask us to play the song in the car over and over so they can backseat boogie to it.

In absence of monkey masks, Addah wore David’s werewolf mask from Halloween. Lakin played the part of Bruno, with Addah as back-up, and they danced the whole routine, laughing throughout.

It was truly hilarious and I wish I’d been awake enough to remember to click the video button on my phone.

Belly laughs and little girl giggles are the best thing in the whole world to wake up to!

In case you haven’t seen the silly video that inspired the girls…

  • It’s such a catchy, happy tune… perfect for hot lazy summer days! I have to put my pants on eventually too, almost every day (darn it!) but this song makes me happy for the days when I don’t have to. 🙂
