Every week I participate in “Stream of Consciousness Sunday”, hosted by Fadra of AllThingsFadra.com. The idea is to type for 5 minutes, a brain dump of sorts, and then to publish without editing the writing at all.
They adore him, top to bottom. They don’t like it when he’s not there to tuck them in at night. They complain when he’s at work for too many days in a row, because they want to see him. They love that he plays with them, becoming a child with them while running on the playground or hunting fireflies or tree frogs in the yard. He has taught them to fish, to draw and color their drawings with shadows and color shading, “like a real artist”, as Addah puts it.
Our lives would be very different if we did not have David. He is the best husband I could have ever hoped for, putting up with my bouts of crazy like no one else ever has. I am so proud to know that my girls have a positive male role model, a man on which they can model their future relationships with men.
