In a Manic Rush

Every week I participate in “Stream of Consciousness Sunday”, hosted by Fadra of The idea is to type for 5 minutes, a brain dump of sorts, and then to publish without editing the writing at all.

I went on a bit of a tangent today, I suppose… I needed to vent the stress from my mind and put it down in writing, so it seemed perfect for a brain dump.

The list of things that David and I have to accomplish before we leave for Texas on the 15th is a little overwhelming. In addition to the sorting of our storage boxes into “donate”, “trash” and “go”, we also have to pick up the girls’ school & medical records, have 3 tires replaced & get an oil change on the car (thanks to my mom for those two!), reserve the moving truck, transplant the garden into pots, forward the mail, and then of course, finish packing up our house.

In 7 days.

Like I said, it’s a little overwhelming.

My brain is running 500 miles a minute, racing rushing mania to get everything done. David is awesome at motivating the girls to help and at keeping me centered, which is not an easy task at times like these.

Anyone want to help pack up our apartment? It’s amazing how much stuff we’ve been able to cram into 400 square feet of space!
