Home For The Holidays!

Today is the beginning of Thanksgiving vacation for David, Lakin and Addah. This is the first year that David will have the holiday off, courtesy of the school district he works for, and I am so very grateful that our family will have this time together.

My sister has to work on Thanksgiving and Black Friday at H.H. Gregg (who is having a big sale, if you’re in the market for a TV or washer/dryer). If you’re in Greenville, South Carolina and you head over there, ask for Hilary… best salesperson on the floor, hands down.

We spent this afternoon watching our nieces Cori and Abby, and our nephew Avery, running around at the playground with our girls. Such great kids, all of them, and so smart and funny! It is nice to be reminded of all that our family has, in such sharp contrast to all that we have lost.
