Fundraiser for Yana’s Adoption

This Sunday, I’m participating in “Stream of Consciousness Sunday”, hosted by Jana of Jana’s Thinking Place. The idea is to type for 5 minutes, a brain dump of sorts, and then to publish without editing the writing at all.

I am using my 5 minutes this week to write about a sweet little girl. Yana is an orphan in Eastern Europe, living in the kind of place that you would never want a child to see, much less live in. Yana has Down’s Syndrome and receives no medical treatment or therapy of any kind.

Yana deserves loving parents, who whisper sweet nothings in her ears and tell her that she’s the most wonderful and cherished little girl in their life. She deserves proper medical care from doctors who care about making her life better, who want to ease her pains and fears.

Jeannett at Life.Rearranged is determined to make Christmas better for Yana. She has organized a fundraiser to aid in the adoption of this little baby, and I am teaming up with Jeannett and other bloggers to spread the word about this very important Christmas fundraiser.

Donate to Make Christmas Count for Yana - Adoption Fundraiser

You can donate directly to Yana’s adoption fund using the Paypal widget below, or you can click on over to Jeannett’s blog and donate there. Consider donating $1 to Yana. If everyone who read this donated only $1, Yana’s entire adoption fund would be covered. What an amazing Christmas present for an amazing little girl!

What a beautiful story. I will keep Yana in my prayers and that she gets to her special family soon.
