Soaking Up The Summer Sun

I have really been enjoying my small break from blogging. By giving myself permission to only blog once a week for the last 3 weeks, I’ve been able to spend so much more time with my girls, my husband, and have even made new friends in our upstairs neighbors. It makes me wish I’d taken this step a few weeks earlier and allowed myself to fully enjoy the girls’ summer vacation.

That said, I’ve noticed that the longer I stay away from blogging, the harder it is to pull myself back into it… and I do very much enjoy writing and sharing my thoughts and emotions and experiences here. It’s a delicate balance, and one that I have not yet mastered. As summer winds down and the new school year begins, I plan to write more, and I have a few new projects in the works.

For now though, I’m soaking up the summer sun, the neighborhood barbecues, long afternoons swimming, walking in the mornings and evenings with my girls, and late night conversations on the front porch with our new friends!

Oh and before I forget… I have Instagram! It’s a long story involving my old cell phone and a swimming pool… but the short version is that I was forced to upgrade and for the first time ever, I have a smartphone! I’ve wanted an Instagram account for a loooong time and I’m happy to announce that I’m enjoying it just as much as I thought I would.
