° I’m Heather and I write about life, love & my beautiful family.
° I’m the mama to two teen girls, a stillborn baby girl (July 1, 2012), and our rainbow: a sweet and wild preschool girl (born on April 2, 2014).
° I’m married to David, a fabulous artist & my best friend.
° We live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in upstate South Carolina.
° I’m a writer, a knitter, a liberal, an activist.
° I’m bipolar and struggle with social anxiety.
° I am the mom of a teenager with emotional disabilities and special needs.
° I’m a recovering addict (self-harm, alcohol, drugs). It’s been many years (more than a decade!) since I’ve been on that path, so I like to think of myself as “recovered”, but the temptation still pokes its’ head up every now and then.
I’ve been blogging since 2001. I have poured my heart out into random musings, craft projects, and knitting designs. I love to read, as well as listen to either audio books or my husband’s voice as he reads to me.
This is my personal blog about my little family, our little life & how we try to appreciate all of the beautiful little things that surround us. I write about everything from mental health issues, dealing with anxiety, infant loss/grief & my own personal growth, to gardening, knitting & our family’s struggle to outrun our own financial dire straits.
Every day is an adventure!
